Organizations
An organization groups the projects and people that belong together: a language program, an institution, a partner organization. Find yours under Organizations in the top bar.
Organizations are created by the Lexbox team. Write to admin@languagedepot.org if yours needs one.
Who can see what
Everything on lexbox.org needs a login. Logged in, what you see of an organization depends on your relation to it:

Admins' names are shown to everyone on purpose, so people can find who to ask about joining.
Being a member of an organization gives no access to any project's data. You get that only from a project role, or by being an organization admin.
Putting a confidential project in an organization does not expose it. It stays hidden from everyone except its members, the organization's admins and the Lexbox team.
A project marked Not confidential is open for anyone logged in to find: its name, code, description and history (including who sent changes). That is what the setting is for: letting others discover related projects and ask to join. Its member list stays private. If that is more than you want, mark the project confidential.
lexbox.org has no way to look up a user's email address. Organization admins see the emails or logins of their own organization's members, but nobody else's. To add someone, you need their email or login from them.
Roles

An admin counts as a manager on all of the organization's projects, confidential ones included, without being listed as a member. Join requests still go to the project's managers, not to organization admins.
Managing
- Add Member adds a person by email or login. If they don't have an account yet, tick Invite to send them an invitation email. Admins can also create an account for someone with Create User.
- Bulk Add Members takes a list of logins or emails. Unlike the project version, it does not create accounts for people who don't have one.
- Anyone can Leave organization (on the Settings tab), except the last admin, who must first add another admin. Leaving the organization does not remove you from its projects; use Leave Project on each project page for that.
Projects
- Add My Projects on the organization page lists the projects you manage; pick the ones to add. You can also use Add Organization on a project page, or choose the organization on the form when creating a project.
- Organization admins and the project's managers can remove a project from the organization. That only unlinks it: project members keep their roles, organization admins lose their access, and a project marked Not confidential stays visible to anyone logged in.
